Back in shape after christmas break

I was so happy being able to come home for a little more than 2 weeks. Most of the time was spent with my dear family, relatives and friends whom I’ve been missing living on the other side of the world.

I just love this christmas picture with my mum so happy and cat so grumpy.
I cried like a baby the last day just overwhelmed by all emotions about leaving – excited, worried, nervous, happy, sad, grateful, inspired, lucky, satisfied, unsatisfied, brave, scared, hopefull and so on, all at the same time. But I must say I live a life full of adventures and I would not have it any other way.

Me and my family visited Stockholm for a couple of days, and staying as a tradition at Hilton Slussen. Besides second hand shopping, we were visiting relatives and museums and eating delicious meals.

Other activities during the break was a visit to the cinema, hanging out and partying with friends, cutting me hair together with grandpa, playing with my cat, playing quiz games, eating gingerbreads and saffron bakery visiting more second hand stores haha. You can even spot the snow landscape outside the window.

It was relay nice filling up my body with some healthy and organic food since this is not the easiest things to find in China. I good bring some back now but otherwise it needs to be ordered over internet.

The first days coming back to my hometown I was still sick so I focused on relaxing and recharging. I took walks outside in the fresh air, saunas, sleeping in, taking time off from work and just moving in a slow pace.
But then I worked out almost every day taking classes at F&S, running in the woods and Pilates on my own. It felt so great improving strength, flexibility and stamina and now it feels like I am back in shape again. It has nothing to do by the way I look (like most people according to the society would believe) but how powerful I feel in terms of energy and full awareness of spine and body again without stiffness.
Just this awesome feeling being connected with your body, progressing my technique inspired me to dance everyday all around the house. Improvising through all the rooms, rolling over furniture, dong pirouettes along the hallway – you name it. I just love dancing so much…
Having time to reflect during this free time I realized I am not dancing enough for my own sake and miss it.. a lot. So my new year’s resolution is to take more dance classes In shanghai and work harder to establish contact with professional dancers.
