Dance shows and christmas spirit

We had great dance shows and It was so nice to see them all perform on stage! Even the smallest ballet groups at 3y old was on stage all by themselves and I was so proud. I was the biggest so far in Sport for Life history. In Pudong we had around 80 children performing at the jungle themed show and in Puxi we had around 120 children.

Even I got several buketts of flowers from kids and parent. You really feel appricatiated in these events when you get to meet everyone that is grateful for the work you do. It was amazing going up on stage to open the show and this massive crowd is yelling "TEACHER REBECCA".
It was interesting to see how big the dance program is right now and so much fun to see how great the event we planned turned out!

Of course some funny things happen when they suddenly forget that they are on stage…. The monkeys started to argue a bit about if it was time for chassé or not.. Other girls begun to collect stickers that was marked on the stage, haha, and they did not want to leave. Another girl in this Banana ballerinas dance (love my humor) though arranging the banana props was more exiting then doing the choreography, as you can see in this film. But all of this is just so cute!!

Parents has earlier wished for that the dance teachers could also could do something. So to my satisfaction I got to perform a little bit as well as part of the jungle drum finally dance!

Hopefully I can post some videos soon!

I never got into a christmas spirit mood in Shanghai. I was planning on going to IKEA to buy candelight and decoration and gingerbread, but I never came around. I made Christmas dancing in all kindergarten classes with freeze game, jingle bells and reindeer hokey pokey. And a nutcracker choreography (adjusted to age and levels in different groups) for ballet dance classes and I helped a bit.

I attended my first Christmas dinner as part of a company and I had an amazing night. Everyone is so nice and funny and best team of colleges there is to find in my opinion. We had sooo delicious food at a Japanese restaurant. Sake and plum whine was also on the menu and even if it is not a new favorite it was nice to try something different!

This last night in shanghai this fall was spent dancing (in the club) and I am ready to go home to Sweden for a holiday. What I look forward to the most except friends and family? Fresh air!
